the game is amazing the best part of the game is when you make your own car the racing is good to by the way if you ever get the game dont go the the outskirts first and dont get cocy the cop chases are very good when you get chased try to make it last as long as you can my car is cool and yol love it. so i give you a challinge make a supper cool car this is my review and i wish i could play with you at home.

4 out of 5 stars Carbon or Excite Truck???   May 27, 2007

When youve got a Wii the 1st thing you need is a driving game and for me just because of how cool it seemed to use the Wiimote like a steering wheel!! I must say i nearly swayed towards Excite Truck because it seemed a lot better gameplay and in a way i may have been right. I think that the career mode on NFS Carbon is way too easy the only really hard part about it is the police chases (you can hardly ever get away unless you really good at taking tight corners) and the canyon duels because it always seems that your opponent it miles better than you and you crash off the canyon thing and have to start again. The good bits though... graphics are ace and the detail on the cars are better than Ps2 in my opinion. The drift race is cool but hard to get used to. i still love the drag race in Most Wanted and was hoping theyd have brought that into Carbon.Overall i would probably reccomend someone to get Carbon over Excite Truck because its more realisiic and the graphics and gameplay are better but the career mode could have been a bit longer.

4 out of 5 stars The best on the market   April 28, 2007

As soon as I got my Wii I decided I needed a driving game and it soon became apparent my options were limited, either Excite Truck or Need for Speed. I was worried about a few of the reviews on Need for Speed but I was looking for something a bit more realistic than Excite Truck so decided to give it a try. I'm so pleased I did.

The graphics are not as good as the other next generation consoles but nobody expected that, they are however not too bad at all. I was certainly pleasantly surprised with them, Need for Speed games have never had the best of graphics.

The gameplay similar to past games in the Need for Speed series; with familiar races such as Speed Trap, Circuit, Sprint, Drift, etc with the added excitement of Canyon Duels where you race off against a leader of a different crew for territory.

This story in the game picks up from where most wanted finishes. The difference between this Need for Speed game and others in the series is the ability to have wingmen race with you to help you win the races. There are three types, a blocker (who will do his best to clock opponent cars), a drafter (who will allow you to slip stream them before sling shotting ahead of them) and a scout (who will go ahead to look for shortcuts to take). You start with just one crew member and through the game you can hire and fire to create your dream crew and then customise their cars so there as good as you. The only disappointment in game play is the fact that the police chases are so much easier to get away from than those in Most Wanted.

There are multiple control options but I have kept to the original where you lay the Wii mote flat use 1 for brake, 2 for accelerator and tilt the remote to turn. This allows you to really get into the game.

Overall it is not perfect and some people may not like the new controls however I believe there is a control option for everyone and if its a driving game your after for the Wii look no further. For now at least there's nothing better on the market than Need for Speed.

Great game with good graphics (probably not as good graphics as the ps3 or xbox, but hey, I didn't buy it for that). The controls take a bit of getting used to but there are plenty of options so your bound to find one that suits you. All in all a fun game.
