Product Description In 1996, the original Tomb Raider was launched. The 3D game design, controls and graphics were truly ground breaking for their time.

Terrible controls January 6, 2009 C. Howarth (Manchester, UK) I liked this game a LOT.... On the other consoles. However, the implementation on the Wii is terribly thought out. Using the torch / wii mote is a nice touch, but just because the Wii CAN be motion sensitive doesn't mean that it SHOULD be! Right from the first level I knew there was trouble... Take the grappling hook for example - with the right hand you aim carefully at the target, steady as possible and hit the button to jump. With the left you have to shake the nunchuck whilst holding you aim steady! Ridiculous! Anyone who has played the other versions will find this PAINFUL. The puzzles and enemies should be the challenge - not the controller! Plus 60 is a heck of a lot for this game.
Awesome November 18, 2008 rashidmukhtar I completed the game yesterday, it was awesome. It took me around 30 Hrs (in a span of two Months) to complete it.The experience was no less than a foot ball season with all the excitement. I must say It is pure ADDICTION, you can't wait to see what's the new level like, how tough the enemies will become, how complex the puzzles will be? It's been fun playing with WII Remote and Nunchuck. The only thing I didn't like was the graphics on WII; I have played the same game on my PC which gives far better graphics as compared to WII. With this calliper of game it requires every thing to be precise and accurate. For example some of the ledges are not visible clearly, they blend well with the environment and you never try them. For this reason I bought the complete guide for the game and I would recommend it for others as it gives you great help and saves a lot of time. IM SOO LOOKING FORWARD TO BUY TOMB RAIDER UNDERWORLD (out on 21.11.08)
Great Game! November 16, 2008 Natala (United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
So glad I bought this game, it's great and well worth the money. I get bored with games fairly easily but this has kept me hooked and the Wii controls work great with the game. Looking forward to buying the new Tomb Raider game!
Fantastic - well worth the money October 8, 2008 Storming 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is as good as everyone here says! One of the best games I have played. Once you have mastered the moves its great. We have given it 4 stars not 5 only because we thought we would try the training level first - Croft Manor, and got very frustrated, as considering it is supposed to be training, there were no instructions about what buttons do what, we had to keep refering to the manual. We nearly didn't start the proper game, but i'm so glad we did as it really is good, and you get prompted in the actual game regarding the buttons. It never gets boring either, we haven't finished it yet, and I can't wait to play it. I think you can get it for a bargain price now, so don't hesitate!
An excellent remake, with a few flaws September 27, 2008 Dave Turner (Edinburgh, Scotland) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
A very enjoyable remake of the orignal tomb raider, which manages to significantly update the original tomb raider while still retaining the charm of the original. The Wii controls are very well thought out, and the rock climbing in particular is great fun. Sadly, the animals are just as dumb as they were in the original game. It is not uncommon to see them getting stuck in doorways, or standing still while repeating their "run" animation. Running up a stairway may be a believable way of defeating a Dalek, but frankly it just seems silly when wolves/bears etc cannot climb up a few stairs :-(
