Bought this primarily to have somewhere to store my controllers that didn't look untidy. It's sturdy and does all I wanted from it. Its nice to be able to leave your controllers and know the next time you use them they are gonna be ready and fully charged. Good purchase.

This arrived in 24 hours, just in time for my son's birthday. It works fine, saving on cables and time. it looks good, too, with a wraparound light at the base.

First of all it is NOT a Sony original. That can be observed by the quality of materials used. Does the job 100% and you could even charge a small lightweight smartphone on it. Will not charge anything when the PS3 is OFF (NO SLEEP AND CHARGE) I would recomend connecting it to your desktop or a regular plug if you have an USB adapter for 110/220.
CONS: I gave -1 stars because the on/off button is saggy and is not horizontal.. probably an isolated fault (I hope for your sake) it works perfectly nontheless.

finally i find the right charger using the usb mains plug. it does not comes with usb mains plug but i use my sennheiser usb mains plug and it works. and charges quickly. avoid buying the cheap 4Gamers Controller Charging Dock (PS3) - it does not work in the mains.
