Product Description The Riiser is a stand that you put under your Wii Fit balance board. It brings the top of the wii fit up to a full 4 inch height, which is the standard height for step aerobics. When you are performing step exercises on the Wii Fit minigames, you will get a much better workout.

Back Injury doesn't stop me :-) June 6, 2010 Ann:-) (Berkshire, England) Need to lose some weight but not all of the Wii Fit exercises are possible for me after back injury/surgery. So, I bought TWO of the Risers and use them together. This definitely helps raise my heart rate during the aerobic stepping exercises! Product seems well constructed and I would definitely recommend it. Just wish that Wii would address the issue of providing more exercises suitable for folk like myself who are not physically able to do a lot of them.
Not an official Wii product June 2, 2010 KEDkrafty (Glasgow) I am happy with my purchase and I think this will really bring my step-sessions to life.
Fortunately I have not experienced any slippage or movement while using it.
If you've been used to doing the normal (low) step programs then remember to stretch after using the riiser because if you're anything like me, you'll find you're activating your leg muscles (eg. quads) a lot more.
Don't be thinking this is an official Nintendo product, it's not, although it says Wii in the advert. It is compatible with the Wii, it's not from Nintendo Wii.
A little thing that makes a big difference May 28, 2010 S. R. CLARK (Aylesbury, UK) Those extra inches have made a huge difference to my wii workouts! I wasn't breaking a sweat before, even after a half hour. Now I actually feel tired and warm after my workout.
Disagree with reviews April 21, 2010 A. A. Raimes (London United Kingdom) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I used this raiser a few times and experienced the following:
1. The board slipped several times and on the past occasion it actually slipped off the raiser and I fell and hurt my back.
2. The board does not record the movements properly.
3. The idea of Wii is that you can record your progress. I can see no point to this raiser if it stops the correct registration of your movements - you might as well buy a normal stepper and just play the wii in the background.
Really a big waste of money!
A step up for the Wii exercises March 28, 2010 Dr. James Myerson This very simple idea really improves the intensity of the workout provided by increasing the height of the Wii balance board from a rather pathetic height for any step aerobics program to a standard 4 inch height. Yes, I did think this was a little expensive before I bought it, but it has very good build quality and is very steady when the Wii board is placed on top of it. Recommended.
