Product Description
The world's favourite golf game returns with its first ever simulation of the Ryder Cup tournament. Play as part of either the European or U.S. squads and assume the role of captain as you change match-ups and enter different competitions. The addition of the Ryder Cup means big changes for the online options, with a brand new 24 player online mode where you can recreate the whole tournament and earn your place on the online leaderboards. Or you can play offline and swap matches at any time for full control at all times. There have been big improvements to other elements of the game too, with the first ever motion-control options for the PlayStation Move; improved graphics, including a new first person camera view; and more courses than ever, including the all-new Liberty National golf course. For golf fans everywhere it doesn't get any better than this. - Burning Bright: The latest and greatest Tiger Woods features all new options for tournament play, online modes and player control, for the most feature rich golf sim ever.
- Europe vs. USA: For the first time ever in a Tiger Woods game the Ryder Cup is featured, with a complete simulation of all the players and courses.
- 24 Party People: Compete in a massive 24 player online match as you play in a virtual Ryder Cup online or enjoy all the other traditional Tiger Woods multiplayer modes

Woods11 September 10, 2010 DONNIE1 I am really happy with my purchase of Tiger Woods `11 (Wii). The graphics are sharp and keep you watcing what is happening. The detail is impressive although you can still get the occasional glitch with some overlapping (player next to trees/bushes). The games formats are really good and I enjoy The Ryder Cup format, but it does get a bit tiresome waiting for (up to 3) console controlled players to play their shots, sometimes more shots if you have played nearer the hole. the Internet link that allows you to play against other console users is very good, as both can play strokes at same time, with different coloured icons to show each player and who has played, where they land and how many strokes have been taken is very good and keeps you hooked to see how you opponent is doing. The mini games are great fun, even for those who are looking for a not too competitive addition to parties, including youngsters who may find the main golfing format a bit difficult.
All in all, I am pleased with my Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, maybe I`ll meet you on one of the courses in the near future.
DONNIE1.
fantastic gameplay, shame about slightly sloppy attention to detail August 30, 2010 benreeves 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
having also played and loved tiger woods pga tour 10 for the wii i was looking forward to seeing what this years game had to offer. i was very impressed with the game play in last years outing and let me tell u this years game doesnt disappoint on that front. the realism with the motion plus is better than ever and even more challenging than tw10. there are also more golf courses and the graphics are some of the best for wii. there is even mini golf which altho not especially challenging adds another fun element to the game. in fact everything is near faultless until u come too the one part of the game ea have been promoting big time, the ryder cup! as a huge golf fan i tune into the ryder cup every 2 years and ive never yet seen fijian or australian golfers qualify for team usa or team europe!
whilst the game play is as good as ever in this mode its very very sloppy not to include enough european golfers to make up a ryder cup team. ea have obviously worked hard to produce a fantastic game so its disappointing they overlooked this detail on what was supposedly one of the biggest selling points of the game. having said that, overall, the game certainly is an improvement and is well worth four stars. well done ea.
GREAT GOLFING EXPERIENCE August 8, 2010 C. Priestley (United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
THE GAME IS OK, GOOD GRAPHICS BUT STILL PREFER THE SETUP OF THE 2010 EDITION. NEVERTHELESS I SHALL PERSEVERE AND HOPEFULLY I WILL LIKE THIS ONE AS MUCH AS I DO THE 2010 VERSION. NOT A LOT OF DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 2010 AND 2011 EXCEPT FOR A COUPLE OF NEW GOLF COURSES! STILL NEVERTHELESS IT IS A VERY GOOD GAME AND I WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND IT.
Good challenge August 5, 2010 monty 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this for my husband, and it went down well. Good graphics and more challenging than wii golf.
Tiger back on form July 26, 2010 Mr. K. Carter (Kent) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My previous purchase was PGA Tour 2009. And I must say this is an improvement.
I like the new style of challenges and I would say the graphics have improved. You still have the oppotunity of making a PGA career and starting from Rookie to getting on the Pro tour.
One big difference is the putting on PGA 09 I found when putting you could pull the putter back and nothing would happen or it would be jerky .Then all of a sudden it would fire the putter and your 10 footer for birdie would end up 40 foot away. Using precision putter on 2011 this does not happen.
The only downside I can see to the Ryder Cup challenge is the lack of European's to make up the team but I have not tried this challenge out to comment too much.
You do need to get experience to improve enough to get the career mode working well. So its woth doing the challenges first or at least along side.
Would like to see all 4 majors represented.
Finally the fun game modes are much better.
So overall a a good purchase.
